The BARRE METHOD was developed during the 1950’s by a Russian ballet dancer named Lotte Berk. Ms. Berk sustained a serious spinal injury in an automobile accident and discovered that the BARRE TECHNIQUE helped her to gain core and spinal strength, toning and shaping her entire musculoskeletal system. It was also noted that the Barre technique helped to obtain a leaner and more beautiful body.
